Rack Supported Mezzanine is available in a range of 2-4 floor levels, providing ample space for your storage needs. The mezzanine is supported by durable Long Span Shelving or Selective Pallet Racking, ensuring a sturdy and reliable structure. Each floor is equipped with multiple decked racks, while the topmost floor can be left as a completely open space. This configuration offers flexibility and convenience, allowing you to optimize your space for your specific requirements.
Rack supported mezzanines are an efficient way to extend your storage or manufacturing processes by utilizing the vertical space in your facility. These mezzanine configurations provide a secure structure of pallet rack uprights below the mezzanine level and its contents, allowing for high bay pallet racking with walkways in the aisles between the rack. The mezzanine framing members bolt to the upright columns to create the decking grid for the mezzanine, making it stable and solidly anchored.
Open mezzanines with floor decking that rests on the pallet rack upright columns are also available, with the frequency of support columns higher, providing more stability. Safety elements like handrail enclosures, kick guards, and welded steel stairs help prevent falls that could result in injury or death. Fire-proof decking materials that allow for air circulation reduce fire hazards while saving time and labor.
Pallet gates and catwalks make loading, unloading, and accessing goods more convenient. Rack supported mezzanines are an economical choice compared to structural mezzanines and can be installed fairly quickly, meaning less downtime and fewer interruptions in your production process. - You can choose to have all floor levels equipped with multiple decking shelves (usually 3-5 layers), and multiple beams only (usually 2-3 layers), or leave the top floor level as a completely open space.
- What is the required clearance height for each floor? Generally, it falls between 2.3-3.5 meters.
- Which type of flooring material do you need for the aisles? Do you prefer solid steel, steel grating, or plywood?
- What is the load-bearing capacity required for the aisles? Usually, it ranges from 300KG to 2 tons per square meter.
- Will you be using forklifts or any other material handling equipment on the floor walkways or aisles? Kindly specify.
